The Problem
Walk into any market in Kampala, Nairobi, or Dar es Salaam and you'll find thousands of small businesses running on paper ledgers, separate spreadsheets, and disconnected tools.
When these businesses look for software solutions, they find two options — neither works: expensive foreign software that doesn't understand mobile money, franchise models, or local languages; or cheap, fragmented tools where nothing talks to each other.
The Solution
Maduuka was built to fill that gap — a single, affordable platform that brings together POS, inventory, financials, HR, and specialised modules for pharmacies and restaurants into one subscription.
The name "Maduuka" means "Shops" in Luganda. One subscription replaces five or more tools. One dashboard shows every branch, every product, every shilling.

Founder & Lead Developer
Peter is the creator of Maduuka — a platform born from witnessing first-hand the challenges African small businesses face with fragmented, expensive, or overly complex software. Based in Kampala, Uganda, Peter leads all aspects of the platform — from architecture and development to product strategy and customer engagement.
